Sooooo... Something happened...
Hhheeeyyy!
So, I'm over halfway through the first semester of my senior year. And oh, my gosh, so much has already happened.
So, being a senior, I realized that it's my last year to, well, to do anything. So I decided that I needed to take risks. I'm not sure if I've ever told you, but I have a love for singing. I've been told that I can sing, but I've honestly never really believed that.
So I auditioned for 2 honor choirs this year: Regional and County. It was obvious that I was going to get into County Honor Choir since I got in last year, but Regional Honor Choir is seriously hard to get into. I was so shocked that I got in (still am). It's a serious competition and I thank God that I got in.
But to get into Regional Honor Choir, you need to know your major and chromatic scales, your major and minor triads, listen to playbacks on the piano, sight-read music, and memorize an Italian art song. And oh! This is all part of a live audition.
Also, I have gotten a sense of who my teachers are like. Basically, I like almost all of my teachers... except for my *COUGH COUGH* Government/Economics teacher *COUGH COUGH*.
This woman can get me worked up over nothing. I don't know how, but she can.
I just get so frustrated because I honestly feel like I have learned absolutely nothing from her, and therefore, I feel like her class is a waste of time. I've basically been ignoring her class and not turning anything in... I should probably start turning assignments in... This class is a requirement in order to graduate...
So basically I'm screwed.
But I'm doing great in all of my other classes, which honestly is super helpful and that encourages me that I'm not a failure and an embarrassment to everyone around me.
On to more important matters, like my recent trip to Rancho Sordo Mudo down in Baja California. I love that place so much, and I already miss it (except for the showering part. The showers down there were way too complicated.) But, I'm currently writing a separate blog on my trip, and for my D.C. mission trip and Hume Lake trip. So, be patient.
And, of course, as a 17-year-old senior in high school, I have my fair share of unwanted drama.
So, I'll try not to go into detail, but no promises, okay?
So, I got into a bad argument with a good friend of mine last year, as a junior. Let's call her Friend #1. Yeah, we hurt each other, but I don't hate her, and I hope she doesn't hate me either. Now, we're just at this awkward point where we just acknowledge each other. I have another ridiculously dramatic and hypocritically sensitive friend, so let's call her Friend #2. And, so onto about a month or two into my senior year, Friend #2 decides to tell me that I caused all of the drama between her and Friend #1, and then follows up with a comment that I've caused all of the drama that's happened in our friend group, which has grown pretty large, throughout high school. Now, this same friend who blames me for all of the drama still considers me to be a close friend of hers.
So now I'm just avoiding her at all costs. I'm all like:
"I'M ALREADY STRESSED OUT AND I DON'T NEED YOU TO ADD MORE. NOPE. NO THANK YOU. BYE-BYE."
Also, because of some other things that have happened, I'm having some serious trust issues with my friends from school.
And to add to the already large pile of crap I need to worry about, COLLEGE.
I feel like that word itself is explanatory enough.
So, I'm looking at colleges right now, but since I butchered my grades, I'll probably end up going to Delta College, aka my city's community college. But, hopefully, I only have to go for a year, because I'd like to escape this city and transfer to a Christian College, like Corban University, or Colorado Christian Universtiy. There are others, but Corban and CCU are my top 2 choices.
I think that's it...
But, I'm surviving.
Okay, so maybe I'm not surviving, but I shall prevail!
Just keep me in your prayers, alright? Thanks.
Anyways, before I go, I wanna show you a couple of things. First, some pictures of my senior year so far!
Secondly, Jon Cozart and Anthem came out with Disney medleys! AND THEY'RE BOTH AMAZING! XD XD XD
Wow, this turned out to be a really long post... it was originally going to be short, but oh well! I hoped you liked it!
BBBBYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!
Love this movie.

Will Smith is hilarious.

Flynn Rider (AKA: Eugene) is perfection.

This was literally me.

This is literally how I feel about her and her class and her teaching methods.
